Kalpana Sweets

Kalpana Sweets, a beloved sweets & savoury bakery in Mangalore, India, has been spreading sweetness and happiness since 1947. They recognised the need for a change. Their age-old designs no longer resonated with the taste of the young enthusiasts.

We were approached with a simple request - a quick design overhaul for two of their signature snacks. The goal? To capture the attention of a fresh, young audience while retaining the warmth of tradition.

We conceptualised a design that was minimalistic yet vibrant packaging, a quick visual feast that would resonate with both tradition and the contemporary tastes of a younger clientele. The packaging we designed showcased the scrumptious snacks in a new form, allowing the ingredients to take centre stage.

The quick makeover, though small, sparked a fresh chapter for Kalpana Sweets that entices the new audience while retaining the core of their legacy. So Kalpana Sweets continues to spread sweetness and happiness, now with a touch of the spontaneity brought by Design Distrikt.
